We are looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker in Pre Birth Team within London Borough of Croydon. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

Newham pay close attention to looking after their Social Workers and strive to ensure they feel supported and welcomed in their roles. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable working environment with experienced leadership, whilst receiving regular supervision and training opportunities.

The responsibilities of the Senior Social Worker includes:

  • Completing Pre-Birth Assessments
  • Preparing Child Protection reports
  • Preparing court statements, chronologies and care plans
  • Attending and presenting to CP conferences and court
  • Working within a multi-agency setting
  • Screening all Pre-Birth referrals coming to the Referral and Assessment Service.

To ideal candidate will have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
