A Qualified Social Worker is required for Children's Services Team based in a Central London borough.
This position is based within one of the two hospitals within the Borough providing an onsite children and families social work services.
The post holder will be expected to undertake s47 Child Protection Enquiries, Single and Family Assessments, and s17 Child In Need Assessments. Court work is also a likelihood so experience in this area is an advantage.
The post holder will be undertaking pre-birth assessments, as well as assessments with children aged 0-18 where there are safeguarding concerns including where a young person may be at risk of harm through substance misuse, risk taking behaviour, mental health difficulties and at risk of homelessness/entry to care, or long term health conditions.
The post holder will be expected to attend relevant meetings such as Initial and Review Child Protection Case Conferences, Child In Need Meetings/Reviews, court hearings, as well as hospital/health led psychosocial meetings with our health colleagues within the hospital. A high level of written and verbal communication skills is essential for this post in addition to strong organisational/time management skills
To be considered you must have recent and/or significant experience in frontline Children's services, as well as full HCPC registration and at least two years post qualified experience.

Rate of pay will be in line with regional agreements
