Qualified Accountant

Watson Evans are working with a leading accountancy practice based in East Cornwall who are seeking a qualified accountant to join them on a full time, permanent basis. Joining as a Client Manager, this is an exciting time to join a respected firm who have plans to continue developing their business. The position will be offered on a full time, permanent basis and will be accompanied by a strong benefits package and a starting salary likely to be between £30,000 - £40,000+ dependent on experience.

Watson Evans are seeking applications from candidates with experience of working in accountancy practice at a Senior or Assistant Manager level or above. Experience of either auditing, working with agricultural clients and experience of general business services would be of particular interest.

The Client Manager will take a lead role and will be responsible for managing the existing client portfolio and ensuring that all opportunities to offer other services offered by the firm are highlighted. They will also be tasked with gaining new clients and generally raising the practice’s profile across the region. Excellent technical accountancy knowledge is essential, experience of tax work would be an advantage as well as demonstrable experience in one of the areas mentioned above.

To be considered, candidates must be ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 2 years' PQE. They will be IT literate and able to communicate clearly and professionally, have excellent technical knowledge with an excellent work ethic.
