Are you a vigilant and experienced Quality Manager / Supervisor looking for a new challenge? Our client, a well-respected manufacturing company in Rotherham, are looking to recruit a Quality and Compliance Manager to join their team.
Your duties will include:
- Establish, monitor and maintain quality specifications and systems relevant to production
- Establish, monitor and maintain procedures and standards relevant to workplace organisation such as 5s organisation.
- Give advice to other departments with regards to quality standards, health and safety and general customer specifications.
- Be the main point of contact and the company’s representative for audits namely SMETA audits.
You will be responsible for:
- A team of quality checkers. You will ensure they are all following the same guidelines and are all comfortable in their role.
- Purchasing new raw materials, ensuring they meet the standards.
- Introducing new suppliers and ensuring that they meet standards for all audits across the company.
- Carrying out internal audits on materials, production, organisation and suppliers and including this information on a monthly report.
- Carrying out risk assessments regularly and ensuring compliance to general safety regulations.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous quality assurance experience.
- Have had previous involvement in industry audits including ethical audits and SMETA audits and dealings with SEDEX.
- Have a ‘Right First Time’ approach to manufacturing.
- Are capable of leading a small team and can make relevant inputs to improve manufacturing and production techniques.
