The sheer scope of transformational change at Royal Mail makes this an exciting time to join our Group Business Intelligence (GBI) team. You will be at the heart of driving change forward across the business.
About the role
You will be instrumental in the development of data visualisation products that enable self-serve reporting using QlikView and QilkSense. You will work with GBI Business Partners and internal stakeholders on new, often complex requirements, which seek to create more analytical, insightful solutions for the business community than standard, static reporting.
You will follow iterative development methodologies, involving constant feedback, rigorous testing and a user-centric approach to everything you do.
You will productionise your Qlik solutions, supporting the deployment and release to potentially thousands of end users, monitoring through early life support to ensure the deliverables meet the functional and non-functional requirements.
You will also be involved in providing support and training on Qlik products to non-technical audiences as well as your peers.
You will have proven, focussed QlikView and QlikSense development experience. Within this, you will have strong supporting knowledge including load script, user interface, and visualisation design and optimising data models.
You will also have comprehensive understanding and experience of Data Warehousing techniques and technologies (preferably Teradata). You will be experienced working in an agile (preferably SCRUM) environment, and be able to demonstrate products that you have delivered in an iterative way using agile principles. You will also have experience of working in a commercial, customer-focused environment and have strong client, stakeholder management and project co-ordination skills.
You will be passionate about the power of data visualisation and ideally will have examples of implementing projects, based upon large volumes of data, which deliver quantified business benefit.
