Are you an experienced Analytical Chemist who can works shifts supporting manufacturing and sales operations? If so then this could be the role for you.

In this role you can use your proven experience to perform required analyses to support the normal manufacturing operations, such as in process, environmental and final products.
As well as analytical testing and other laboratory related tasks (eg. problem solving, provision of data to customers) you will support not only the commercial activities, but operations and others (i.e. environmental) whilst advising and choosing analytical approaches and methodologies to suit.
Prioritising your activities will help to make best use of available resources and to maximise throughput in line with laboratory information system, manufacturing operations generally and other ad hoc requests.
You will marshall stocks of consumable items, maintaining records and call off supplies as required and undertake the proper storage of retained samples of finished goods.
You will also carry out calibration procedures for laboratory equipment including that in satellite laboratories.
Although you will not manage people directly, your tactful dealings with external contacts and colleagues, especially in light of out of specification materials, will be especially important.
Standard operating procedures cover most aspects of activity but your can be innovative and use your creative thinking for problem solving and method development.
Knowledge and experience required includes:
· Graduate Chemist with an analytical emphasis (or equivalent experience).
· 2 to 3 years experience preferred in a busy QC laboratory supporting the manufacture of chemicals.
· Time management and self organisation.
· Expertise in HPLC, GC, Spectroscopy and traditional wet methods of analysis
· Analytical method development.
