QC Microbiologist - Pharma

QC Microbiologist

Our client a leader in pharmaceutical production and development are currently recruiting for a microbiologist on a 12 month fixed term contract to join their team.

The Role

Perform environmental monitoring of clean rooms and controlled environments in accordance with current testing schedules and manufacturing activities.
Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process and final product for microbial contamination within required time frames.
Perform identification of microbial isolates to the correct level within an efficient timeframe.
Perform QC testing of culture media to maintain available stocks.
Maintain specified work areas (and equipment) within the laboratory in a compliant state.
Perform basic QC analytical testing in the absence of QC analytical personnel.
Identify and initiate out of specification and out of trend results, unplanned event investigations and change controls in accordance with current procedures.
Identify and support microbiological investigations.
Participate in the execution of validation studies and project work.
Record and maintain QC microbiological data in a compliant state.
Trend and report basic microbiological data.

What do we need?

Previous micro pharmaucetical lab experience is a must. If you have university experience or industry experience we need to hear from you! Aside from this, we need -

Previous microbiology laboratory experience
Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment
Knowledge and understanding of cGMP would be highly advantageous
Aseptic technique is an absolute must
Educated to degree level or equivalent (biomedical, microbiology…) BSc MSc PhD

Days based role, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility on start times and finish times will be required.
