QA Engineer / Automation Tester / QA Tester - Selenium, Webdriver, Java, Cucumber, API testing

Howden, East Yorkshire (DN14) - commutable from Hull, Scunthorpe, Lincoln, Scarborough, York, Selby, Wakefield, Sheffield, Pontefract, Doncaster, Leeds. Excellent links on M62. Parking. Minutes walk from Howden train station.

HOME WORKING NOW CONSIDERED - with visits to an office (either Howden, Nottingham or SW London) for fortnightly sprint starts

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer for a prestigious organisation who have offices across the UK - home working and flexible work hours supported, and great travel links.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Demonstrable experience as a Tester / QA Engineer / Automation Tester
  • Automation testing - we'll consider all levels here, but you must be passionate about automation
  • Selenium WebDriver with Java (other programming languages considered i.e. C# or Ruby)
  • Cucumber / other BDD tools
  • Knowledge of modern agile software development and testing life cycles
  • API Testing / knowledge of REST Principles / RESTful Web Services

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with various testing frameworks/tools: JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber, JBehave, FitNesse, Concordion, Behat, CasperJS
  • Experience of mocking frameworks
  • Unix/Windows shell and related command line tools
  • Atlassian tooling (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins)
  • Exposure to Amazon AWS or Windows Azure virtualised platforms

SALARY / BENEFITS:

  • £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on skills/experience)
