The QA Analyst will carry out testing across all verticals and websites. Working closely with internal and external teams the QA Analyst will ensure a world class experience is delivered to the customer at the point of release. The QA Analyst will work on multitude of projects and BAU work streams as per the testing schedule prioritised as per the business needs.

On a daily basis the QA Analyst’ responsibilities are to make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed by ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live. The QA Analyst will be responsible for raising quality defects where the defects and fully understood and well explained.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Execute test plans and scenarios for all products and websites in line with the development and roadmap schedules in order to provide a smooth path to live for the products under test
  • Document all instances of testing defects and provide timely reporting for the business to make an informed decision on future changes
  • Ensure defects are well written including detailed steps, expected and actual results and provide videos and screenshots where possible
  • Create and implement tests to cover use of promotions and marketing materials to ensure key customer journeys are not affected
  • Create, implement and maintain test data based on assigned projects and ensure test data is ready prior to testing where possible
  • Create and execute all test scripts ensuring agreed coverage is met and provide execution

  • Build and maintain strong and clear communications, both face to face and in writing, with the development teams to ensure timely turnaround of all defects
  • Ensure test cases are up to date in order to have robust test execution and consistent with the products and are therefore fit for purpose
  • Contribute towards innovative, effective, and efficient manual testing practices and solutions to achieve speed of delivery to market with increased quality on products
  • Work closely with application development, architecture, infrastructure and engineering groups to establish QA testing needs and processes in order to fulfil all agreed business needs
  • Provide insight into QA bottlenecks across all digital products by leveraging the use of automation and performance testing needs and working closely with the software engineering development in test teams in order to achieve them
  • Identify test scenarios by working with development and incident teams and implement them in a timely and agreed manner
  • Provide estimations where needed to ensure the business is provided with an expected completion date for project and BAU activities
  • Collate data in relation to estimation versus actual completion time and use this data to drive more accurate estimations for the business going forward
  • Communicate with third party suppliers on defect management and support any queries to have the defects reach a resolution in order to deliver releases as per the roadmap
  • Deal with production incidents and support testing on production including post-production sanity tests
  • Ensure product test scripts are meeting compliance requirements and keep the scripts up-to-date at all times so that no compliance issues are seen post-production
  • Ensure all reports are reported as per the agreed templates and archived for audit purposes including any copies of relevant materials and emails
  • Make recommendations for improvement in products where needed and feedback any suggestions from the team
  • Provide cover with an hands on approach during team absences or workload issues
  • Follow all HR procedures in terms of sickness, lateness, bereavement etc.
  • Support investigation of defects when needed
  • Make changes in CMS and publish them in through to live environments
  • Complete all admin tasks and schedule games in time in order to hit KPIs on games deliver

Specialist Skills and Experience Required:

  • Technology related degree Level or higher Qualification
  • ITIL or similar certified
  • ISEB Foundation in Software Testing
  • Ability to understand business and functional requirements and to perform requirements analysis
  • Analytical and reporting skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and timely manner with a wide selection of stakeholders
  • Computer literate with an interest in testing
  • Ability to understand business and functional requirements and to perform requirements analysis

  • Ability to learn and optimise new system environments (both internal, 3rdparty and the interfaces between)
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt rapidly to changing business conditions

  • Interest in sports betting and bet placement advantageous
  • Knowledge of different game types and suppliers is desirable
