Maternity cover (12M FTC)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced purchasing manager to work with one of our very reputable clients in Stockport. This rare opportunity has arisen with a key client that is a leading provider within their industry. You would be joining a friendly, busy team and would be responsible for ensuring the company has appropriate contractual arrangements in place for as many products and services as possible. All contracts will have negotiated terms and conditions, which will cover issues such as Risk and Title, Termination, Warranties, Data Protection, Freedom of Information Act and be current with recent changes to legislation
Duties will include -
-Ensuring all contracts fully meet the requirements of the specification and are in accordance with customer specifications, latest safety legislation & quality requirements.
-Lead and set-up formal negotiation processes to secure the most economically advantageous commercial deals and to ensure the company is protected under the appropriate terms and conditions in each contract ensuring that safety, quality and environmental requirements are met.
-Development and analysis of the supply chain including emerging markets in the UK and overseas in order to gain maximum benefit with regards to cost, quality, performance and service delivery/standards.
-Developing, recommending and implementing contract management strategies for internal customers in order to initiate world-class procurement techniques. Ensure that Purchasing transactions are made in the most cost effective way throughout the company.
-Working with cross-functional teams to ensure contracts deliver successfully against contractually agreed targets, SLA and KPI's and drive continuous improvement through the supply chain by undertaking documented contract reviews with suppliers. All contracts are to be let on a transparent basis to satisfy the challenge of any audit or remove any reputational damage.
Candidates Must -
-Have CIPS Qualification Level 4 minimum.
-Have the ability to be able to develop the contracts database and ensure all Audited requirements are met.
-Have demonstrable experience in a management position responsible for purchasing and contracts management.
-Have knowledge of and experience using and updating a Procurement System, demonstrating good data manipulation and excellent use of Microsoft package.
-Have a broad experience of buying a variety of goods and services and delivering deals within timescales.
Hours- Monday-Friday - 9.00AM - 5.00PM - 37 hours per week.
Salary- £40,000 per annum.
