Purchasing Co-Ordinator

Our clients based near Pershore, global market leaders in their field are recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Co-ordinator to join their busy and proactive team. The successful candidate will have purchasing experience in a similar role ideally and essential is an excellent knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review & action MRP recommendations within our ERP system
  • Reviewing & checking stock levels for consumables
  • Routinely review and action recommendations for items to be ordered
  • Reviewing shortages based on agreed / set levels
  • Highlight and put resolutions for any known shortages in place
  • Expedite shipments with suppliers in line with requirements
  • Chase suppliers and agree new schedules in line with revised requirements
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure deadlines are met and monitor and provide updates for ongoing projects
  • Provide logistics support
  • General Purchasing duties including filing and adhoc administration

The Person:

  • Previous Purchasing experience and/or relevant Purchasing qualifications preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) at all levels
  • Good IT skills (Advanced Excel essential)
  • A working knowledge of SAGE 200 beneficial however full training will be provided
  • Organised and able to use initiative
  • A flexible team player

Salary: Up to £20k dep. on experience + company benefits

Hours of work: Full time Monday to Friday
