Purchasing Assistant

SF Group are currently recruiting for a prestigious health group in Birmingham. They are looking for a Procurement Assistant to join a growing and exciting team.

This is on a temporary or temporary to permanent basis. If you are immediately available and have experience in buying - please apply.

Job purpose:

  • Managing purchase order processing cycle from all branches
  • Place orders with suppliers, and manage communication with branches
  • Managing relationships with suppliers
  • Produce analytical reports on the purchase cycle
  • Support Financial Controller with the adhoc projects/tasks


  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Quality focused
  • Good questioning and investigative skills
  • Willingness to learn from others and share experience
  • Ability to multi-task and be very organised
