Purchasing Administrator

I am currently representing a company based on the outskirts of Warrington town centre who are renowned within the local construction and contracting industry for design excellence and technical expertise. My client has a fantastic temporary to permanent opportunity for a purchasing administrator.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is new to a Purchasing / Buying role and wants to grow into a more Senior Buyer in the long term. The right candidate will also have the opportunity to be trained in CAD.

Starting salary will £18,000 based on a 40 hour week Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30

The successful candidate will be working with a small team, so you must be reliable and able to use your own initiative, the main duties of the role will include:

• Creating PO’s and purchasing materials
• Dealing with suppliers
• Stock Control
• Budgeting
• Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
• Negotiating Prices
• Customer Service
• General Ad Hoc Duties

The ideal candidate would be someone who has:

• Excellent Organisational skills
• Excellent keyboard skills
• Excellent Telephone manor
• Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel knowledge
• 5 GCSEs A* - C or Equivalent
• Ability to work within a small team
• Ability to work using own initiative
• Willingness to progress
• Good negotiation skills
