This purchase ledger role will include:
Accurate maintenance of Purchase Ledger
Timely resolution queries / disputes
On time payment of supplier accounts
Adherence to Control Procedures
The purpose for this job is to co-ordinate all Purchase Ledger activities ensuring timely and accurate matching, process and payment of supplier invoices. Maintaining and reconciling supplier accounts on a timely basis and all payments are made in accordance with Company policies and procedures and defined deadlines. The role may include deputising for Credit Controller during absence/ annual leave.
This role is a through and through purchase ledger role, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Registration and matching of supplier invoices to GRNI and purchase orders for Key Accounts daily and resolving any discrepancies in accordance with Company Policies.
Liaise with Purchasing and Goods In teams to resolve invoice queries ensuring price and quantity discrepancies are verified and approved before the invoice is processed for payment. Review Disputed invoices to ensure queries resolved in a timely manner.
Communication with suppliers regarding payment dates and any invoice disputes. Contacting suppliers to request proof of delivery where relevant and ensuring requests received and queries resolved in a timely manner.
Responsible for batching, coding and inputting of overhead and transport invoices, sending out for authorisation to ensure prompt return and payment targets met.
The successful candidate will:
Have profficient experience as a Purchase Ledger (4+ years)
Possess and display strong team ethics
Communicate with suppliers and customers in a professional manner
Have familiarity with current practices, rules and statutory regulations concerning AP and AR
Be able to meet tight dealines
Ideally have some experience of Credit Control
