You will join this friendly team as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, working alongside seven others, who all operate as part of a small, yet wider Finance department. This role has been created due to the volume of work the company currently has, so although this is a temporary role it could be extended.
You will input a high volume of purchase (supplier) invoices on to a stock and accounting system, scan and file invoices, and reconcile supplier statements to check for missing invoices. You will have good data entry skills, gained from working in an office environment, and you will be comfortable with Microsoft packages including Excel. You will deal with telephone calls from suppliers regarding payment, so you will have confident communication skills.
You will have previous accounting experience, dealing with invoices and a willingness to work as part of a team, taking pride in your work through keen attention to detail.
