Local major employer are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract which may go permanent.
Your new role
In this fixed term contract, you will be responsible for checking and validating purchase invoices prior to payment as well as resolving supplier queries. This centralised processing team deal with high volume invoices which are normally paid automatically but at times these are unable to be paid due to incorrect information for example no PO number, wrong level of authorisation codes etc. You will be expected to assist the team with ad-hoc purchase ledger queries.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have experience of purchase ledger processing, good eye for detail in ensuring correct PO & authorisation has been granted to allow payment. This is a fast-pace commercial business who operate UK & Worldwide and are based on the outskirts of Colchester so you must have your own transport.
What you'll get in return
You will be a competitive salary of £19,000 for the 12-month fixed contract which maybe extended or even the role become permanent. You will also be immediately available as the client is looking to employee a candidate immediately.
