Purchase Ledger Assistant

The Role:

HOURS: 9:00am to 5:00pm

SALARY: £18,000 - 22,000 depending on experience

LOCATION: Knutsford

Reporting to the Company Accountant you will be instrumental in providing effective purchase ledger support for the finance department and will look after the Purchase Ledger function from start to finish. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who is looking for a new challenge and some autonomy within a faced paced high value low volume Purchase Ledger environment.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processing of multicurrency supplier invoices on Sage
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Processing payment runs by BACS
  • Monitoring of creditors
  • Building supplier relations
  • Working closely with other departments and dealing with day to day queries
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Cash/ bank reporting
  • Processing of company expenses
  • Bank Reconciliation's

    To be successful you MUST have the following skills and attributes:
  • Approximately 2-3 years+ relevant experience in Purchase Ledger
  • Good IT skills
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Good attention to detail
  • Friendly and a natural team player
  • Excellent Communication skills including verbal and written
  • An organised and planned approach to work to ensure deadlines are met
  • Problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure
