Purchase Ledger Assistant

Simpson Judge are recruiting on behalf of a successful Marketing agency in Manchester for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant.

Responsibilities:

  • Receipt of invoices from suppliers and reconcile with the relevant Purchase orders.
  • Processing payment of suppliers ensuring compliance with the appropriate financial procedures.
  • Administer, record and file relevant financial documentation.
  • Set up and maintain new supplier accounts.
  • Handling of petty cash & foreign currency.
  • Able to cover Sales Ledger when required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Purchase ledger experience.
  • Experience on Sage 200 preferred.
  • Strong academics - ideally AAT qualified.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Positive/Can do Attitude.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Proactive, organised and methodical.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills both in person and by phone.
  • Fantastic customer service ethic.
  • Interest in Media desired.
