Purchase Ledger/ Accounts Assistant

A rare opportunity has arisen within an Ayrshire based organisation for a Purchase Ledger/ Accounts Assistant to join on a permanent basis. This is a crucial role within the business as the successful applicant will be accountable for a large amount of the outbound payments.

The Role:

Matching, batching and coding invoices
Check & reconcile supplier statements
Paying out money using both BACS & cheque
Handling purchase inquiries Processing staff invoices
Liasing with management on Purchase Ledger related matters
Maintaining excellent relations with each member of the team
Handling queries & solving issues as they arise
Maintaining complete & fully reconciled petty cash books

The Person:

Experience within the Purchase Ledger field
A good understanding of purchase ledger cycle including processing reconciliations payments at an advanced level
A high level of data entry competence
A genuine "team player" attitude
The ability to communicate well with other members of a team
The ability to solve problems & work hard within fast-paced environment
A good level of concentration due to the structured, repetitive role
Reliable, conscientious and dedicated
