Psychiatry Services Co Ordinator
Reed is delighted to be assisting an award-winning private organisation within the health care division. Due to growth, they are seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Psychiatry Services Co Ordinator to join their dedicated team.

and 13 weeks unpaid.

Main Duties/ Responsibilities:
1. Main point of contact for prescription services at the practice, liaising with the practice Pharmacist to ensure
clients receive their prescription in a timely manner.
2. Actioning prescription requests from clients.
3. Working alongside and assisting the Adult & Child Services Co-ordinators and providing annual leave cover
when necessary.
4. Responsible for monitoring PPCD pads to ensure we have adequate stocks and alerting the Practice Manager
when stocks are low.
5. To be a key holder for the PPCD pads when the Practice Manger is on annual leave.
6. Point of contact for Psychiatry and assessments at the practice for all clients, clinicians and other members of
the practice team.
7. Dealing with clients in person and client enquiries over the phone and by email.
8. Regularly meeting with the Clinical Lead and the Practice Manager to provide an overall update on Psychiatry
prescription services and to raise any concerns requiring further discussion.
9. Liaising with our Head of Growth & Operations, to provide client feedback and to contribute to informed
discussions on how we can continuously review and improve upon Psychiatry Services for clients.
10. Liaising with our Assistant Psychologists where required to assist with providing up-to-date statistics and
relevant information for the completion of client audits for Psychiatry Services.
11. Updating patient records.
12. Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality.
13. Ensuring prescription invoices are sent to clients and payments have been made according to our terms and
conditions.
Most Challenging/Difficult parts of the Job:
1. Forming lone judgements and offering opinions in relation to highly complex and diverse problems, often
under emotionally charged circumstances.
2. Responding to a diversity of needs including those of individual clients, the needs of clinical associates,
administration staff and service development requirements.
3. Managing own time effectively and prioritising workload of self to meet competing demands from clients,
clinicians and practice team to ensure provision of a well-co-ordinated, efficient and professional
administration service at all times.
4. Dealing with distressed clients.
5. Remaining calm, polite and profession in all situations.
Demands of the Job:
1. Keyboard skills.
2. Concentration is required when entering client data into various systems.
3. Requirement to respond to interruptions which will require the post holder to change from one task to
another.
4. Exposure to clinical information which can sometimes be distressing.
5. Dealing with distressed, anxious patients/relatives using empathy, diplomacy and discretion.
