PRU Teacher

  • Daily pay £125 -£185 depending on experience

A PRU for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD) are currently looking to recruit a qualified and experienced teacher to teach KS2-KS4, full time starting immediately.

For this role, you must have a minimum of 6 months experience teaching students that have challenging behaviours. Students are excluded from the school on a temporary basis and the main aim is to re-integrate students back into their mainstream schools and the school had an 80% success rate with this last academic year. Excellent and varied behaviour management strategies are essential to be successful in the role due to the nature of the students.

Job Responsibility

  • Can plan and deliver engaging sessions across the Secondary curriculum
  • Can use a range of effective behaviour management techniques
  • The ability to differentiate lessons to cater for the individuals needs
  • Has experience teaching to children with SEMHD, either in a mainstream or a PRU setting
  • Team Teach trained (or equivalent)

  • Experience of working as a Teacher with (SEMHD)
  • Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 3-5 days a week
  • Able to commit to 3-6 months
