The insurance market is evolving at an unprecedented pace, driven by changing customer demand, new technologies and significant investment being made in start-up innovative firms.

To ensure we stay relevant in this market, we have set up a new team called "LV= Tomorrow" to bring to market innovative new propositions and services, evolving our Life & Pensions strategy into the Health, Wealth & Knowledge domains.

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative Proposition Lead to manage and define our LV= Tomorrow proposition strategy in the Wealth & Knowledge domain. You will lead the vision, roadmaps and plans from ideation to market launch, defining business cases for investment with accountability for commercial success. You will need to work across a range of business areas to develop the strategy and subsequent propositions, including for example customer insight, sales, finance and compliance.

Day to day you will work with a lean and agile approach, taking ownership of all activities within the end to end vision and roadmap for all strategic and micro propositions in the domain. This will include opportunity identification through to hypothesis design and customer validation through experimentation to full proposition land and continued development post launch.

The role will be based in Bournemouth, with some travel as required (typically to London to meet external stakeholders).

About You

Previously, in a similar role, you will have gained a strong understanding of product and proposition development and honed excellent planning and organisational skills. You have a drive and passion for innovation, technology and customer solutions within a FinTech environment.

You’ve historically built great relationships with senior stakeholders, using your influencing and networking skills. Collaboration between departments will be integral to this role, so your strong communication skills will enable you to deliver and manage propositions that exceed expectations. You will have the ability to create proposition portfolios that align to business strategy, vision and objectives, whilst remaining customer-centric.

An excellent comprehensive understanding of Financial Services, particularly insurance and other regulated industries will be an important element of this role.

The Details
  • To lead on strategy and proposition development.

  • To ensure appropriate governance, structure and process for proposition design, validation, launch and scale.

  • To own the commercial and investment case for the proposition domain ensuring all propositions have clear business case and commercial rationale with buy-in and support at Exec level.

  • To define and set all objectives, KPIs and budgets for all aspects of the domain proposition portfolio ensuring appropriate reporting framework is established for stakeholder management and business decision making.

  • To have a full understanding of the market and competitor landscape ensuring all propositions have clear marketing strategy, objectives and plan to ensure market success.

  • To define and agree all strategic relationships and partnerships for propositions with relevant 3rd parties and agencies.

  • To work effectively with all other functions in LV= that are needed to support effective proposition design, delivery and development includes insight, marketing, finance, compliance, risk, IT, operational and delivery teams.

  • To ensure appropriate governance, compliance and risk management of proposition portfolio in-line with agreed operating risk appetite.

  • To effectively manage all agreed resources and costs associated with customer propositions in the domain and achieve agreed success metrics.
