Main Purpose of Role

To develop and manage a programme of work to include all property-related transactions (including but not limited to Lease renewals, Site Acquisitions and Upgrades) through the delivery process, supporting the regional asset management teams in meeting their overall regional targets.

To provide regular updates / reports detailing progress of each programme of work (lease renewals, acquisitions etc) against overriding objectives and to promptly diagnose and escalate issues which might impact programme delivery.

Company Scorecard

To work with members of the Leadership Team and other stakeholders to deliver functional and company objectives in line with the company scorecard. Contribute and regularly review each element of the functional scorecard to ensure that it remains relevant to the business plan and on target

Delivery

To work with the Regional Asset Managers and their teams to develop clear plans for the delivery of all property-related transactions in accordance with wider business requirements / objectives. Examples of specific delivery plans which are required are those for Code lease renewals and Site Acquisition activities. To ensure that workload being managed within the regional Asset Management teams is prioritised in line with CTIL & Shareholder requirements / commitments by working with the Regional Asset Managers and highlighting where priorities are not aligned. To work with Programme Management Office, Business Intelligence and other relevant teams to develop a comprehensive suite of management reports. These reports should be used to provide visibility / transparency of the status of programme delivery within each region; to identify potential issues impacting programme delivery achieving required objectives; and to provide forward-looking forecasts. To be the "one source of the truth" in terms of information relating to the delivery of property-transactions, facilitating effective decision making and the management of issues and risks. To be aware of & manage dependencies on other CTIL teams (Property, Demand, Finance) and the regional teams through planning, tracking & reporting to ensure CTIL & Shareholder targets are achieved

Build & maintain effective working relationships with the regional Asset Management teams and other CTIL teams to ensure CTIL policy is understood & applied consistently and improve certainty that objectives will be achieved by setting realistic expectations, delivering on commitments & effective communication

Continuous Improvement

Identify areas for improvement & take ownership of specific issues through to resolution to drive improved performance of the organisation and achieve targets

Supplier Management

Manage 3rd party suppliers to deliver agreed targets by creating an environment that drives success & secures business targets through reporting and management of key deliverables

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management

To proactively surface and record all risk, issues & dependencies, subsequently managing their mitigation and resolution, and escalating as needed to ensure targets are achieved

Compliance & Security

To support and contribute actively to health and safety, environmental, business continuity and information security arrangements that meets our obligations to our customers

Experience (technical, managerial, industry)

  • Considerable acquisition and general property / project management functional knowledge gained from working in a mobile network environment
  • Extensive experience of leading and motivating teams to deliver large volumes of property transactions against agreed targets
  • Considerable experience of managing 3rd party suppliers
  • Considerable experience of working under pressure in a complex & changing environment

Education level / Qualifications (professional, vocational)

Required

GCSE English & Maths

Desired

MSP foundation or equivalent qualification / accreditation

Skills / Knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to manage stakeholders of varying levels and across matrix organisations
  • Clear & concise communication skills at all levels within CTIL and externally with 3rd party suppliers & stakeholders
  • Strong planning & organisational ability in delivering business results
  • Basic skills in Excel
