REED Cumbria are working in partnership with a local authority to recruit a Property Maintenance Officer on a temporary basis, for a minimum of 6 weeks, it may even become permanent for the right candidate.

Pay rate starting at £15.50 per hour

The main responsibility for the role will be to deliver smooth & responsive repair, and planned maintenance service, operating with the high standards of the organisations. 

Other duties include:

-Working with internal and external contractors to deliver effective, efficient customer focused services, ensuring strict deadlines are met EVERY time
-Manage responsive repairs service within company SLA's
- Collate works data, collating reports and quality checking work available 
- Work within strict budgets, negotiating best deal each time
- Conduct property surveys to establish and prioritise maintenance and investment programmes. 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- Experience of working with and managing contractors in the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance services
-Ability to survey properties and produce accurate and detailed specifications and schedules of work for the invitation of quotations, tenders or for stock condition records.
-Ability to diagnose building defects
-Experience of tender and contract
-Experience working in the building trade or similar (will not need to physically do the work - more for expertise & understanding of works) 

The role will require minimal travel between local sites, but mileage will be paid.
