Property Maintenance Coordinator - Slough, Berkshire

Responsible to Property Manager

Our client are looking to recruit an experienced Property maintenance coordinator to support the Property Manager in ensuring the timely management and administration of maintenance works for a portfolio of residential properties across Berkshire, Surrey, Middlesex and London.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

- Chasing maintenance subcontractors for updates on a daily basis and timesheet management

- Scheduling repairs and ensuring these are carried out to acceptable timescales

- Receiving tenant requests from Housing Officer’s and preparing work orders accordingly

- Relaying instructions to maintenance contractors and collating details of works in progress

- Updating Housing Officer’s and tenant’s on status of works and realistic time frames

- Job costings and accurate recording and budgeting of maintenance works

- Updating spreadsheets/databases and ensuring maintenance contracts and certifications are renewed/revisited in line with maintenance requirements

- Maintaining continuity of projects by ensuring effective delegation and communication of instructions to colleagues

- Keeping information accessible by sorting, storing and filing paperwork/certificates

- Sourcing suitable building/equipment/material suppliers and maintaining suppliers list

THE PERSON

- You must be highly organised, be able to prioritise tasks/projects and provide timely updates

- Ability to build strong relationships with both tenants, contractors and Housing Officer’s

- Strong MS Office skills, with the ability to maintain records/reports for Property department; must have good Microsoft Excel skills and ability

- Experience in building maintenance and/or facilities management

- Practical, hands-on approach, with strong administration/reporting and delegation skills

- Able to effectively update Property Manager and senior management team on status of property maintenance department and maintenance projects

- Full UK/EU Licence and access to own car

- Able to work flexibly and travel to properties in order to meet the needs of the department
