The firm is looking for a legal assistant to join the property litigation department. The firm promotes a collegiate, team-based ethos with a commitment to training and so this is an outstanding opportunity to progress a career in property law. You will be assisting fee-earners with a varied case load. This will include dealing with clients and matters relating to residential possession claims, preparation of notices to terminate, and termination of, commercial leases; instructing experts and Counsel, and attendance at trial where required. This can be a challenging role and involves some complex document production and dealing with high-volume documentation, requiring excellent time management skills and a focused, meticulous approach.
The firm is looking for an individual with a dynamic, proactive approach and a real enthusiasm for property law with a commitment to providing an excellent level of client service.
You should have at least a year’s relevant experience in a similar role with a reputable law firm;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and first-class client care skills, dealing with telephone calls and initial client enquiries;
Be meticulous and logical with the ability to organise large volumes of documents in a timely manner;
Understand the importance of accurate time recording;
Have good IT skills, familiar with Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
