Projects Administrator at Manchester Metropolitan University
An exciting opportunity to work as a Apprenticeship Projects Administrator within Manchester Metropolitan University!
They will provide specialist administrative and quality support to ensure the successful delivery of the University’s apprenticeship programmes. This involves providing administrative support to the team and advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders in relation to apprenticeships and engaging with the various processes relating to commercial activities and projects.
To develop administrative systems to facilitate shared information across the team and provide effective delivery, including financial administration, quality monitoring and the capture of market intelligence data.
To assist with the preparation of costings for proposed apprenticeship programmes, working with internal and external colleagues as appropriate.
To provide administrative support in relation to ongoing projects, programmes and initiatives. This will include all relevant administration relating to project delivery, and assistance with the production of teaching, promotional, and other materials, booking travel and accommodation and issuing and collecting evaluation forms.
To provide support for internal and external events, including registration, setting up and evaluating surveys, preparing Eventbrite pages, event promotion, arranging parking, catering and rooms, and preparing welcome packs.
To provide advice and guidance to applicants, career advisers and employers about apprenticeship programmes, including how to apply and how to become an apprentice employer.
To make effective use of systems such as CRM and other key campus administrative systems to capture and maintain accurate records and data.
To actively engage in networks both within the campus and across the University in order to keep up to date with developments and to improve work methods within the Apprenticeships Unit.
The successful applicant must have:
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Proven ability in the use of advanced Microsoft Excel Functions and the management of data across a wide range of software
Ability to communicate complicated and non-routine information that requires careful explanation both verbally and in writing.
- Liaises with a variety of contacts to disseminate information, and build relationships to support the work of team with internal departments, employers and prospective apprentices.
- An interest in and knowledge of apprenticeships in particular in an HE context
Proven experience of providing administrative support in a busy environment working collaboratively to improve services to customers.
- Experience of prioritising own workload to meet set objectives; adapting plans to take account new priorities
Ability to gain a full understanding of customer needs to provide excellent service whilst actively improving and/or promoting services to existing and potential customers.
