Technical Project Lead required to lead a number of projects for a well renowned governing body.
Your new company
You will work for a UK leading governing body who are looking for a Project Technical Lead for a 12 month contract. You must have a Mechanical Engineering background, and have experience with Materials Science, Integrity Management / Pressure Systems in major hazard industries (e.g Oil and Gas), and be able to commit to the role for a period of 12 months.
Your new role
This role will involve you taking on the day to day leadership of a major research project on Engineering composites repairs.
The project will involve you working both collaboratively within a team, but also independently on producing relevant reports and documentation to present to the board.
You must be able to analyse and interpret technical findings / engineering data, and be able to present work to industry regulators.
You will also be responsible for the decision making on site, and providing the relevant mentoring and training to more junior members of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have Chartered status, or clearly have the relevant and sufficient experience.
You must have a proven track record within a technical role as a mechanical engineer, and it would be desirable for you to have experience with Materials Science, Integrity Management / Pressure Systems in major hazard industries, for example Oil and Gas.
You must also have excellent communication skills, and be able to present technical information to both technical and non-technical people.
It would be desirable for you to have knowledge in fibre reinforced plastic materials (composites), or experience with adhesive bonding and associated test methodologies.
