Project Support Officer - LOCAL AUTHORITY
Croydon, Surrey
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
£10.86 hourly pay rate
2month temporary assignment (may be extended)

We are looking to recruit a professional, enthusiastic and hardworking Project Support officer to support the delivery and development of a major local authority's Parenting and Relationship Hub as part of their Early Help approach.

The role will involve tasks such as:
*Process and screen incoming referrals to the Parenting and Relationship Hub
*Contact parents to discuss support options and liaise with referrers
*Assist with the compilation of governance and other reports and presentations for project boards and undertake project data analysis, and assist with project benefits/evaluation monitoring
*Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, colleagues, senior managers, external individuals and organisations
*Engaging with internal stakeholders to present findings, recommendations and to deliver the actions agreed
*Undertake administrative tasks to support the delivery of the hub's parenting offer
*Provide project support for existing and future Family Offer related projects
*Undertake other assignments from time to time, depending on the needs of the programme

Key requirements:
*Knowledge and understanding of Project Management, experience of working in a project environment, including project planning, budget monitoring, problem solving, benefits realisation, performance and risk management
*Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, using good inter-personal skills
*Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately in a fast-paced environment
*Professional demeanour and presentation at all times
*Good understanding of the public sector and ideally, of Early Help services
*Attention to detail skills in order to produce governance reports for senior managers and project boards
*Ability to use IT applications and to be self-serving in respect of word processing, spreadsheets (including data analysis), powerpoint, outlook and the internet
