Description of Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and knowledgeable individual to assist in driving forward Community Health and Social Care locally. This is an exciting time to join the journey working with the General Manager for Community Health and Social Care and the Community Health and Social Care wider Management Team in changing the way services are developed and delivered across the region.

The Project Support Officer will be involved in planned project work. You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent level of qualification. A recognised project management qualification would be desirable as would experience in using improvement methodology.

You will have experience within a Heath/ Social Care environment and be able to demonstrate previous project/change management experience. You will have experience of working with colleagues at all levels and be able to work as part of a team. You will be a good communicator and be able to develop and sustain relationships across different professions and agencies. You will proficient with Microsoft office packages with the ability to gather, analyse and interpret complex information and be able to present it concisely. You should have knowledge of the main policy drivers for Community Health & Social Care within Dumfries & Galloway.

You need to be self-disciplined, have a strong attention to detail and able to keep motivated and focused, expected to work autonomously and have a flexible approach to the role. You need to be able to demonstrate a real desire to get the job done for the benefit of those that use community Health and Social Care Services be conscientious, reliable and trustworthy.

You will be based in Dumfries but will be required to travel across the region routinely & beyond when necessary.
