Project Manufacturing Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Project Engineers to join a leading manufacturing company based in Clevedon, near Bristol, specialising in vacuum and exhaust-management systems to the semi-conductor industry.

Following a restructure of the Manufacturing Engineering department, we have 3 x Project Manufacturing Engineer vacancies covering the following areas:

NPI / A&D
ETO / CTO
CIP

The right candidate will have
  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Experience of working within an assembly environment
  • Use of risk mitigation tools to control risks within projects and prioritise risk to be mitigated
  • Relevant experience in implementing the principles of lean manufacturing
  • Project management experience including implementation of complex and technically challenging projects
  • Experience of utilising problem solving and root cause analysis tools in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in optimising production processes as well as providing production support and training.
  • Design for manufacture knowledge
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Previous experience in key manufacturing principles such as TPM, 8D, 6S problem solving, product responsibility, continuous improvement process as well as new product introduction

The main duties are:
  • Co-ordination and reporting of projects
  • Project Planning - working with work stream leads to define and monitor workable and robust plans;
  • Scope Management - ensuring that project scope is documented and managed appropriately, including scope changes during the project cycle;
  • Time Management - ensuring that project plans are robust, comprehensive and achievable whilst meeting demanding customer expectations for delivery of product;
  • Budget Management - ensuring each project is monitored and delivered against agreed budget;
  • Communications Management - keeping project meeting minutes and actions;
  • Risk Management - actively and accurately monitoring and reporting project risks and planning risk mitigation activities;
  • Ensure suitable technical support is provided to all areas of Operations to ensure they can deliver product on schedule
