Fixed term/secondment for 9 months
Are you an experienced Project Manager, looking for a new challenge?
Do you enjoy evolving and changing services to ensure high levels of patient care?
Are you passionate, committed, innovative and forward-thinking?
2020 has brought a significant amount of transformation and change to the NHS and the journey hasn’t ended yet. We have a complex but exciting period of transformation ahead of us to ensure that our services meet the needs of the Hywel Dda population and because of this we are looking for new talent to join our team.
As part of our on-going commitment to the delivery of high quality, reliable services for our patients, an exciting opportunity has arisen in the Scheduled Care Directorate within Hywel Dda University Health Board. Our transformation plans encompass service delivery improvements including digital platforms for patient consultations and clinical redesign projects. The Project Manager role provides an ideal opportunity to work with clinical and non-clinical teams to help re-design and deliver transformational change in the way we provide care to our patients and improve the working lives of our staff.
You will be responsible for managing the delivery of small to medium scale projects or workstreams which will support the delivery of our digital strategy, driving innovation around moving services online and implementing technologies that will drive efficiencies and better engagement for our services and community. Working with the wider scheduled care team you will be involved in identifying and managing project risk, maintaining project plans and providing regular and accurate reports to senior colleagues, as appropriate. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and raise your profile across the Trust, and enhance your understanding and practical application of planning, design, engagement, collaboration, service improvement and overall skills in change management.
You will have a strong background and experience of working within an acute NHS hospital setting; be dynamic, able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. You will be a team player and able to work with senior managerial and clinical staff, having excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills.
The post is fixed term/secondment for 9 months and provides extensive opportunities to lead on service improvement projects to ensure that budget, performance and strategic requirements are met. This is a challenging but exciting position and lots of support is available within the Directorate in order to succeed and progress in your careers.
If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from you current manager prior to application and interview.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Interviews will be held on 29th September 2020.
