The role of the Project Manager is to support to the Business Development team in our business growth and ensure we hold and sustain strong commercial advantage in the global market place. The post holder will be responsible for project managing a number of commercially strategic projects to ensure their successful implementation on time and on budget, in accordance with the company’s structured project management process.
The post holder will take ownership, support and encourage the continuous development of our project management tools, techniques and processes and ensure a consistent application of project management best practice is applied.
Take sole responsibility for the end to end delivery of customer projects within the Business Development team.
Manage customer project plans on an on-going basis, obtaining input from key stakeholders ensuring that plans are aligned and up-to-date.
Take ownership of key activities within projects, including: setup of reporting mechanisms, resource and cost tracking methods.
Work collaboratively with the Business Development team, the Training and Support team to ensure the on boarding processes are delivered effectively and on time.
Share project management knowledge with the Business Development team to ensure effective delivery of projects.
Maintain an independent role within each project
Establishing project budgets and timetables with the Director of Business Development.
Alignment of project based activities and resources to achieve goals within changing parameters; completing projects to the highest level of quality whilst systematically monitoring achievements and progress for the purpose of continuous improvement
Project management process development and best practice governance to improve performance in the planning and delivery of multiple complex projects
Effectively communicating and reporting activities to various stakeholders who may require a different message with a focus on profitability (for example: the customer; the service teams; the sales team; the Executive Directors).
Look to continuously improve activities in line with Project Management industry changes.
Build and maintain good working relationships across project teams, with partners, suppliers and any third party organisations. Develop "support and challenge" relationships with leads to ensure accountability and delivery.
To travel and work internationally to ensure business opportunities are capitalised which expand the business globally.
