A fantastic position for has become available for a leading engineering business supplying Special Purpose Machinery to their Global customer base. The business have a market leading product and supply globally in to a range of industries.

The Role

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Project Manager will lead the function in delivering the next generation of products and product families via product lifecycle management. Key responsibilities will be focused on ensuring projects are managed effectively, utilising the Project Management Competencies of Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Risk, Resource Planning, Communications, and procurement in order to successfully complete deliverables as planned. The project managers responsibilities will also be as follows;

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of assigned project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and cost parameters.

  • Identify resource constraints between projects and works with business leadership to propose and implement project changes based on priorities and critical path.

  • Implement a portfolio-wide planning mechanism to drive improved resource utilization

  • Develop task level project plans and empower teams to succeed by showing clear ownership and driving accountability of tasks.Responsible for milestone review and post-launch project review content and timing

  • Maintains communication with leadership team, ensuring awareness of potential roadblocks, risks or challenges and proposing solutions.

The Person

Ideal candidates will need to have strong communication skills and have a proactive nature. As a senior member of the team, you will need to be focused on assisting the company achieve its short, medium and long term goals. You will also need to possess;

  • 3 years+ Project management experience

  • Industry experience within an actual design and manufacturing environment (Ideally Engineering)
  • Track record of managing multiple faceted NPD activities

  • Strong communicator

  • Engineering Degree & PRINCE 2(or other such recognised methodology) preferred
