Project Manager

One of the UK's leading Universities is currently seeking a dedicated Project Manager to fulfill a key role, working across various projects on an extremely high-profile, cross-University programme.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, this exciting role will see the successful candidate leading projects across the research areas of the University, within the University's GDPR programme, which is a business critical programme and so enjoys top level business support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project responsibilities, ensuring that robust project planning takes place to allow the projects to be delivered on time, within budget and to the highest possible standards. In conjunction with strong planning, it will be essential that all potential risks, issues and dependencies are identified, that detailed reports are distributed to all relevant stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner, that all project meetings take place and that adequate resources are put in place to ensure the success of the projects.

The Project Manager will work with the central and support services across the University to provide a detailed breakdown of all plans at both a high level and at stage-specific levels, ensure all communications and change management activities occur and provide the programme board with updates on progress, highlight, checkpoint, stage end, exception, lessons learned, end reports and stage assessements.

In addition, the management of supplier contract and relations will be key, as will be responding to information requirements of project assurance and other audits.The successful candidate will have significant experience of leading complex projects and managing sometimes competiting stakeholders priorities within the higher education field.

Experience of and/or a qualification in Prince 2 is required for this role, as is experience of working on research projects or projects with a senior research stakeholder group.
