BMR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work for our client who are an engineering / manufacturing company located Bath.

Summary of Role:

·To have a managing overview of assigned projects.
·Managing customer expectations upon receipt of the contract, ensuring Design, Procurement, Materials Management, Scheduling and Production are prepared for the work involved, managing the Production Engineers based on site.
·Delivering all projects on time and to budget.
·Co-responsibility for day to day management of Bath site.

Skills Required:

·A high level of organisation of different departments at different stages, good communication skills and the ability to adjust working practice depending on the stage of the contract.
·Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
·The ability to identify and rectify discrepancies.
·The ability to delegate and maintain an overview of all current projects is crucial.
·Confidentiality and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Knowledge of Sage 200 is desired.

Detailed Responsibilities:

·To attend kick off meetings of projects with a view to taking charge of these.
·To ensure regular communication with all stakeholders involved in the projects.
·To create and deliver project plans, whilst continually adjusting these to reflect changes in circumstance, need or requirement.
·To liaise with all necessary departments and insure they are informed of requirements of projects, setting out a department specific project plan if necessary.
·To monitor progress of work at all stages, ensuring objectives are met on time, by all departments / individuals.
·To monitor all costs associated with the project.
·To ensure correct completion of all necessary documentation relating to projects and that these are stored safely and securely.
·To raise works orders and update job cards where necessary.
·To ensure that work is scheduled for production engineers and carried out within given timeframe with minimal disruption to other work.
·To work closely with Design teams to ensure that all development work is completed on time and that all drawing packs are completed in their entirety.
·To work closely with Purchasing to ensure that any materials required are sought using preferred suppliers, any additional costs are incorporated in to plan and that lead times are accounted for in scheduling works.
·To ensure that all incoming deliveries are checked and documented, before issuing to production.
·To ensure all outgoing deliveries are checked and documented before dispatch.
·To raise problem notes where problems are observed.
·To raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) on all non-confirming issues and liaise with Quality Assurance (QA) with corrective and preventative actions.
·To attend all necessary meetings and training sessions.
·To keep working environment clean and tidy.
·To work safely and to report any unsafe conditions or working practices.
·To update status of all job cards and works orders so that Management are aware of progress.
·To ensure communication is maintained between office and all relevant departments elsewhere in business.
·To help plan and attend training sessions when necessary.
·To maintain security of office.
·To answer phone and email queries from colleagues / customers.
·To open up / lock up daily and to be main key holder in case of alarm calls.
·To line manage production engineers including conducting appraisals.
·To be a Health and Safety representative who is co-responsible for all Health and Safety related actions including being a fire marshal.
