As Project Manager, you’ll support our Major Projects Director in delivering business projects within the required governance, processes, timescales, budget and quality. That’ll entail managing all associated risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies of the projects, regularly reporting and managing key stakeholders. Ensuring customer satisfaction and managing and leading throughout the project lifecycle, you’ll develop project scope, objectives and, where appropriate, business cases, in addition to:
• identifying required resources
• driving a culture to target zero harm through demonstrable leadership and behaviours
• setting standards and ensuring compliance with H&S rules
• developing a detailed project plan
• budgeting and cost management.
Educated to degree level , you will have a significant construction industry track record of managing complex projects with commercial outcomes. With either a project or programme management qualification (e.g. Six Sigma) or qualified by experience and committed to achieving a recognised qualification, you have extensive knowledge of project planning, contingency planning, implementation and management, using recognised project management principles and methodologies. Capable of senior level stakeholder management and with the ability to lead and manage multi-discipline teams across a range of functions, you’re also strong on budget management and financial controls. In addition to first-class interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills, you’re also:
• highly adept at information gathering
• detail and results-orientated
• able to prioritise and plan ahead
• highly IT-literate
• very adaptable.
