£38,888 per annum hour for 36 hours per week based at County Hall, Penrhyn Road, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 2DN. This position is based inside one of our main area offices, click HERE to see a 360 degree view of the building and surrounding area along with a view of the reception. 

This is a secondment opportunity for 12 months.

About the Role

Are you looking to expand your project management experience and introduce collaborative new approaches to deliver improved outcomes for Surrey’s residents?

The newly-formed Strategic Commissioning Hub is a small centre of excellence working across Surrey on complex issues to develop sustainable public services and maintain the council’s financial resilience. Working as part of a team, we’ll need you to lead a range of projects to support the Hub, exercising discretion and with minimal supervision.

Working in a challenging environment, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of a number of projects, and ensure that the support and skills are in place so that these projects succeed. You’ll be comfortable working in a challenging environment and with multiple stakeholders, and have a strong analytical approach to your work.

To be considered for this position your personal statement and CV will clearly evidence:

  • Experience of understanding, meeting and exceeding customer expectations in a project environment
  • Proven experience of balancing competing requirements, without compromising customer satisfaction
  • A proven ability to manage a range of projects through to completion
  • Proven management experience including staff supervision and development
