We are seeking to recruit a Project Manager (PMO) to join a leading global engineering solutions provider who operate on a global scale. Our client operates across 23 sites around the world and are a provider of specialist equipment to industries such as aerospace, automotive, defence and med-tech. This new role covers global sites, however we are seeking someone based in Ireland to work remotely, however they will have access to offices at the Galway site if required.
Your new role
In your new role of PMO Project manager you will report to the Global Automation Operations Manager and lead Automation Projects across various regions. Your main remit will be to ensure that high value engineering projects are fully developed and executed to the highest possible standard. You will work in partnership with global site leaders to develop projects and programs. In this new and exciting role, you will liaise and coordinate with key business partners to strategically align projects and programs through portfolio review management to deliver maximum portfolio value. Providing CAPEX financial reports and budget outlines to Executives will be another key element of the role. In addition, you will ensure that Sites Project Owners are carrying out their tasks efficiently adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines. Other elements of your new role will include managing internal and external Customer expectations, defining project success criteria and develop best practices / tools for project execution
What you'll need to succeed
To prove successful in securing the PMO Project Managers role you should be coming with at least 5 years experience working in a technical project management role and have overseen mid to high value projects of €1M+ and a recognised Professional Project Management qualification (Agile, Prince 2 etc). To perform at the required level you should have strong familiarity with project management software, strong leader and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
