This fantastic opportunity is with a well known organisation based in Winsford and is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
*To take full responsibility for the definition and successful completion of medium sized IT projects (typically lasting 6-12 months with direct business impact), ensuring that realistic project and quality plans are maintained.
*To conduct investigations at a high level for business requirements and feasibility studies, in order to develop scope and options for the project, demonstrating that the project is feasible before determining the best value solution to proceed.
*To prepare business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving and identifying how the project should be structured in order to deliver the benefits expected of it.
*To work with senior technical staff to help analyse and architect software and technical solutions, ensuring that relevant technical strategies, policies and standards are applied correctly. Provides a technical plan for system implementations and ensures technical resources are made available.
*To manage relevant stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure completion of project tasks within planned timescales and budgets to produce a solution that will meet quality criteria.
*To provide leadership to the project team in order to ensure that projects remain on track and staff are supported. Where necessary take appropriate action were team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
*Educated to level 6 of the QCF or equivalent relevant experience
*Hold or be prepared to obtain PRINCE 2 foundation/equivalent project management certification within 12 months of being appointed to the post.
*Hold or be prepared to obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 12 months of being appointed to the post.
*Significant experience of successfully implementing IT projects, ensuring objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
*Significant Business Analysis or technical lead experience.
*Excellent understanding of the IT implementation lifecycle and experience of working with 3rd party systems integrators.
*Some experience of software procurement (preparing requirements, tenders, evaluation)
*Significant experience of developing Business Cases in an IT/Change context.
