We have an exciting opportunity available within the SHL UK&I Commercial Operations department for a Project Manager working to support clients through the design, delivery and implementation of customised talent assessment products and solutions.The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organising, executing, controlling and closing business projects in accordance with approved timelines and budgets. The Project Manager creates project schedules, identifies and manages risk, performs change management, regularly communicates projects status. A person in this position establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders and team members in order to effectively manage projects.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Job

  • Manage multiple projects of medium to large scale through all phases of the project to support the implementation of client solutions
  • Determine and put plans in place to overcome obstacles that may interfere with the ability of the teams to deliver assigned goals
  • Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
  • Lead and direct the project team to remain on schedule and on budget
  • Coordinate and communicate cross-team, cross-project and cross-programme dependencies and risks
  • Management of change requests and the impact on project schedules

Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent SHL with client project sponsors and stakeholders, working with the client teams to define the project scope, deliverables and resources required to deliver to budget and client timelines
    and expectations
  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate project risks
  • Manage project scope and resolve problems throughout the project life-cycle
  • Establish and maintain effective working business relationships with internal stakeholders and team members. Function as a liaison between the business, the client and any third party supplier, working through challenges and issues as they arise
  • Track and compile regular status reports to communicate expectations, milestones, risks, status and changes in scope to team members, stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Complete post-project evaluations to determine how well results were achieved and if adjustments to processes are needed
  • Publish metrics and reports as required by the UK&I PMO
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business or related field
  • Three or more years work experience managing strategic projects, preferably with client facing responsibility
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Must be proficient in managing projects of all sizes, including the ability to define project scope, develop schedules, create project plans, manage resource allocation, communicate status and manage projects from initiation to closure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects whilst working under time constraints and rapidly changing priorities
  • Must be able to deliver high quality projects on time and within budget, upholding meticulous attention to detail even under pressurised situations
  • Must be comfortable working with business professionals, IT staff, and customers at all levels within the organisation
  • Must be highly energetic, self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and easily adapt to change
  • Must have excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must have excellent organisation, planning and time management abilities

Desirable Skills:

  • Current PMP certification is preferred
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar systems

Experience:

  • Working in a fast paced team-oriented environment
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a professional environment
