This leading Northern Irish Civil Engineering Contractor requires a Project Manager on a permanent basis to join their growing team. This contractor specialises in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, Airfield Engineering, Aggregate Production, Waste Management and Green Energy This Company attributes its success to the contribution of its employees who value the importance of teamwork, customer service and promoting continuous improvement. Our client has recently secured multiple Civil Engineering contracts throughout the UK and therefore has a consistently steady work-load and a full and healthy order book.
Your new role
As a Project Manager you should have an extensive knowledge within the construction industry. You will be tasked with taking each project from inception to handover. The successful candidate will ideally have at least 5 years' experience of managing similar civil engineering projects with extensive knowledge of contractual obligations. You will be responsible for communicating between head office and the teams on site making sure all design, programming, technical and financial aspects of £multi-million pound projects are on schedule. Current projects include a carriageway widening valued at £2m in County Antrim and a new £20m access road of 950m including the construction of 2 bridges in a major UK city.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have a proven track record in project delivery and be able to ensure that projects are successful from start to finish. This role requires a meticulous work ethic and you must be highly organised. As you will be managing prestigious projects throughout the UK and Ireland you should be willing to travel. You should also hold an SMSTS qualification or equivalent.
