My client designs, installs, owns, operates and maintains complete combined heat and power (CHP), natural gas chiller cooling systems and gas engine heat pumps tailored to a customer's specific site requirements.
My client is leading on-site utility company, offering low carbon and efficient electricity, heat, hot water and cooling to a range of sectors including healthcare, social and other multi-family housing, leisure centres and hotel properties in the United Kingdom.
The Project Manager will be directly responsible for a number of client projects, responsible for the design & installation of combined heat and power (CHP) systems, gas engine or electric chillers or gas engine heat pumps and ancillary mechanical and electrical services.
Managing multiple projects ranging from c£100,000 to £400,000 in value, following handover from the sales team including co-ordination of the scheme design, its construction and commissioning.
The role holder will be responsible for development of a programme of works, preparation of a suitable design and specification, sub-contractor tendering and selection, health & safety management, site supervision, client liaison, sub-contractor management, equipment procurement and budget control.
As principal contractor on site the role holder will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations although the company’s appointed health & safety partner will support this activity.
The role holder will also support the Managing Director in the strategic development of the business. This will include the evolution of working processes, budget setting and control, development of technical and delivery processes associated with new equipment etc.
As a member of entrepreneurial company the role holder can also expect other tasks to be part of their day-to-day activity.
The Project Manager will be based at home but will be required to regularly attend team meetings, customer sites and client meetings. The role will require the holder to travel as necessary within the UK including nights away from home.
