The Heavy Vehicle / Off Road (HVOR) and Operator Sensing Technologies (OST) businesses are growing significantly due to market trends. As the market for new sensors and controls in these areas continues to grow, Our client is looking for a strong Program/Product Managers to lead cross-functional teams to flawlessly bring new products to market.


Our client is currently seeking a Program/Product Manager (PM) to lead teams in new product development from concept to production, lead change management projects, and lead cost reduction initiatives. This individual will be an integral member of our rapidly growing HVOR group. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to execute business plans and strategies through effective planning, strategy development, and operational tactics. The company is looking for a strong business / program management professional ideally with an engineering background and a demonstrated track record for program execution, operations management, customer management, and profit improvement. The Program/Product Manager must be an effective leader of cross-functional, global teams. Additionally, this individual must be able to effectively leverage global teams to drive execution to the committed goals.

The Program/Product Manager (PM) will lead a cross-functional project team establishing a detailed project plan, project goals, and actions/initiatives, and driving the necessary changes to ensure achievement of financial and non-financial metrics. The PM will also connect the Client manufacturing team to launch new products flawlessly. The candidate must be able to guide their team to make decisions that shape the success of highly visible projects. The position offers a great opportunity to work with global teams and to travel globally in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Success in this position requires good organisational, team-building and influencing skills with both internal and external teams. This position requires keen negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to develop a win-win situation for the business and customers. The candidate will also need to exercise good judgment. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to work effectively with all levels within the organisation, suppliers, and customers. The PM is results oriented, and has the ability to influence others, a strong technical understanding of client’s products, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and the motivation and ability to independently reach across geographical and cultural boundaries to solve problems. This role requires someone who is eager to excel in a fast-paced environment working on highly complex projects.

Specific Program/Product Manager responsibilities:

  • Lead new product development teams from concept to production

  • Establish new product development program scope, schedule, commercial situation, and risks

  • Summarise new product development financial business case including cash flow analysis, revenue roadmap, capital planning, resources required, and cost reduction roadmap to finalize project plan for new product development programs

  • Develop margin roadmaps for new product development programs and take aggressive actions on any deviations from financial plan to achieve result needed

  • Manage and ensure discipline with the new product development and Change Management processes, tools, metrics, and schedule to achieve committed business case

  • Drive continuous improvement of the client’s new product development process

  • Lead cross-functional team during a critical customer issue

  • Lead Change Management (CM) projects for design, supplier, or manufacturing changes

  • Plan needed production capacity and ensure equipment / tooling strategy is in place; ensure supplier capacity is also in place

  • Plan and lead cost reduction projects to achieve financial goals

  • Develop Product Life Cycle Management objectives and execute project plans to achieve desired results
