A fast-growing design specialist in Event Branding are seeking a talented Project Manager to lead key projects to budget in a tight schedule. This is a maternity cover 12-month fixed contract and an ideal move for an enthusiastic Project Assistant to step up into a broader Project focussed position.

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for planning and delivering to cost, quality and time within an environment including many internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Excellent planning, risk management, process mapping and team coordination skills
  • Regular interaction with project staff, ensuring you build strong and positive working relationships
  • Managing the delivery of projects with high expectations including schedule, cost and quality criteria
  • Liaise with the client and the installation team to schedule bookings including site surveys, installs and removal
  • Contact clients before installations to confirm all details and run through plan of day
  • Provide clients with RAMS, Health and Safety documents and material specs if requested
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the projects are managed, controlled, reviews updated and communicated
  • Research and development into ad-hoc products when needed / required
  • Quality checking all projects before they are shipped
  • Liaising with trade suppliers and negotiating on prices

Sales Support:

  • Answer and respond to sales enquiries (via phone & email)
  • Generate quotes and invoices using software
  • Advise and upsell clients on the best products for their space
  • Manage other customer service queries i.e. shipping and order updates, order issues etc.

The ideal candidate will be

  • A calm, capable and unflappable demeanour
  • Someone who is used to working under pressure and to tight turnarounds
  • A logical thinker who can think on their feet, assess risks but also is strategically minded
  • Someone who is strong enough in character to challenge senior members of staff with their own suggestions and ideas
  • Understands profitability, budgets and cost prices
  • Pro-active in replying to emails in a timely manner
  • High competency skills in Mac/Windows with desirable experience in Adobe Illustrator/InDesign
  • A can-do mentality and a flexible approach to their role/responsibilities within the company
  • Confident telephone manner
  • High attention to detail
  • Organised and self-motivated to produce high quality results
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
