Project Lead / Project Manager / Prince2
Up to £40,000
Your new role
This is a brand new role as a project framework will be rolled out to the business units. This will strengthen the interface between IS and the various business units for better identification, scoping, planning and execution of infrastructure, systems or digital projects.
The role will be instrumental in propagating the benefits of project management by demonstrably delivering projects with a measurable ROI on time, in budget and in scope.
The majority of projects are likely to be around enhancing our digital presence whether this be with a customer-facing project or by improving the core processes used to operate the business using technology as the enabler. The projects may also impact on one or more business units.
The successful candidate will be able and willing to work as a project lead, as an individual contributor, and as a project consultant to other members of both the IS department and to other parts of the business.
Effectively navigating a matrix organisation and working on multiple projects simultaneously will be key to delivering successful projects.
The project lead role will sit within the central IS team in Doncaster, sharing knowledge and experience, and cross-fertilising ideas and solutions to the benefit of all business units.
Some travel will be expected for projects driven out of other business units based in Lincolnshire, Kent, or Wales. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering projects relating to business systems and of understanding operational business processes.
The candidate may well have developed into such a role from an operational role within a business i.e. manufacturing manager, systems accountant etc.
30% travel required to business units across UK with use of a company pool car.
Experience in the delivery of complex systems and process improvement projects - ideally in a manufacturing/supply chain environment.
Have strong process analysis and definition skills to ensure project requirements are clear and achievable.
