Project Automation Engineer County Durham 6 Month contract
A leading Pharmaceutical manufacturing site, are looking for a Project Automation Engineer to join their site, on an initial 6 Month contract.
The core function of this role will be to operate as the Subject Matter Expert, working within the Capital Projects team. The Project Automation Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of multimillion pound projects, such as new facility development, new equipment and improvement/ upgrade projects. Working within cross functional teams, you will be supporting the Project Team as a SME within Automation Engineering. Assisting with the Validation and Commissioning of Automation Equipment and Computer/ IT systems, the Project Automation Engineer will be working to GMP standards and ensuring that all specifications meet project requirements. Some travel will be involved in this role The Project Automation Engineer will be managing suppliers, leading FAT's, and writing specifications.
The ideal candidate will be proficient with PLC systems (PCS7 / Siemens would be preferred) and have experience working on Building Management Systems (TREND is preferred). Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential, as well as having experience working with and managing clients and vendors. It would be advantageous, for candidates to have experience working within the Pharmaceutical, Bio-pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Life Sciences or Sterile environment.
