They are now looking for an additional Projects Coordinator to assist the projects manager and other projects coordinator in the day to day management, administration, planning and execution of worldwide bulk and bagging operations.
Paying up to £26,000 with great progression, training and benefits such as on-site Gym, Bonus, Insurance etc. this is a rare opportunity to join join an already established team.
Liaise with the Commercial Department regarding potential forthcoming business.
In conjunction with the Projects Manager and team, plan suitable personnel / equipment for forthcoming projects. This to include monitoring the arrival of the cargo, equipment and any outstanding spares orders and to liaise with the agent at the disport and ensure readiness for the arrival. Also ensure any outstanding work to the equipment is planned in either before (if critical) or afterwards, balancing the costs.
Prepare operational briefings for forthcoming projects basis the contract in place ensure the team have all information to ensure the project operates smoothly (e.g receivers contact details, stow plan, agent details etc etc.)
Arranging flights for the field personnel within the budget criteria set and timely manner to ensure operations are not interrupted. This involves arranging cheapest alternatives as well as reliable connections subject to circumstances of each project.
Arranging appropriate visas for the field personnel in a timely manner in order not to interrupt operations.
In conjunction with the Projects Team keep field personnel fully informed of upcoming projects.
Speak to the relevant field personnel on a daily basis (or more frequently if required) to discuss progress / tonnages and assist recommendations to speed up / improve productivity if necessary. Ensure that team are following the instructions as set out in the ops brief e.g. bag weight checks, comparison of figures.
Provide full support to the ops team re contractual responsibilities. Liaising and supporting the team with messages to the agent and or receiver to ensure all other parties are aware of their contractual responsibilities.
Ensure all parties internally are made aware of any problems that may result in a claim on completion of the discharge.
Ensure that any requirement for commissioning of new equipment are covered by planning in suitable candidate for task
As a minimum, applicants must have at least GCSE (‘O’ level) standard including minimum grade C in Mathematics and English Language
Be willing to attend relevant training courses and to develop skills and knowledge
Strong and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
Good grammatical and numerical skills
Strong analytical approach to cost management
Fully competent with IT including Microsoft Office applications (Word / Excel / Power point / Outlook). Experience of CRM systems preferred but not essential
Preferred but not essential, previous experience of providing support within an operational environment, ideally within a ports or logistics. Candidates with suitable related experience who are wishing to develop may be considered
Organised and accurate with good attention to details
Self-motivated and able to work to strict deadlines in a fast paced, customer focused environment
A pro-active problem solver
Effective personal time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
Good interpersonal skills and a genuine team player
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as the role requires
Willingness to work out of hours occasionally
