It is a hugely exciting time at Pearson Business School as we move into the next phase of our development. As part of this we are recruiting for a Programme Leader to manage a number of our Business Management programmes.

The Role

We are looking for a highly engaging and enthusiastic Programme Leader with exceptional organisational skills.

As programme leader you will have responsibility for the day to day management and resourcing of our business management programmes working closely with both permanent and associate faculty. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in an academic and/or training environment and a strong focus on providing an exceptional student learning experience.

Specifically the role will include:

  • Resourcing and staffing of tutors for programme modules, liaising directly with the Timetabling Manager.

  • Managing Associate tutors including communications, contracting, training and queries.

  • Ensuring that the programme modules run effectively in line with the pedagogic strategy of the business school.

  • Teaching and delivery of modules each term.

  • Managing communications on academic teaching matters to the students.

  • Managing the daily operational running of the programmes.

  • Attending disciplinary panels and approving recommendations

  • Liaise with Student Services to approve academic decisions relating to attendance, assessments and performance.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK

  • At least a Masters (FHEQ Level 7) level academic qualification or professional equivalent.

  • A teaching specialism in business

Desirable:

  • A professional qualification.

  • Management experience in a professional training or education setting.

  • A proactive and “can do” approach.

  • A demonstrable commercial and “real life” approach to your field of specialism.

  • Experience of either face to face and/or synchronous online training.

  • A willingness to develop professionally both in the academic and professional spheres.
