A new vacancy has arisen within this leading insurer for a Professional Risks Underwriter in Leeds to provide underwriting support across all areas of the company. The role will involve assisting the team with the prioritisation and allocation of new business quotations, mid term adjustments, claims experience and declinature of new business falling outside the company's underwriting strategy. Working with the team of underwriters with the company's schemes, ensuring key information is captured and accurately stored on the company's underwriting system. Assisting the team of underwriters with reporting, production of policy wordings, underwriting referrals and other ad-hoc tasks.
Prospective applicants must possess good insurance knowledge and an understanding of underwriting and key commercial activities. If candidates have professional indemnity knowledge, that would be a major advantage. Must have the ability to prioritise workloads. Excellent keyboard and VDU skills, including practical and demonstrable knowledge of Word and Excel. Excellent written, verbal and numerical skills. Attention to detail and the ability to undertake repetitive work and be a team player.
